Kabukiza

Kabukiza

A theater specialized for Kabuki performance at Ginza 4-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
It is the only theater that holds Kabuki performances each month and features a horizontal stage of about 28 meters.
At the time of the theater improvement movement in 1889, the theater was completed as a purely Japanese style building in the present location, and the building has been expanded and renovated repeatedly after the Kanto earthquake disaster, the Tokyo air raid and other events.
