★先日美しい紅葉を求め広尾にある有栖川宮記念公園を訪れました★

強い寒気の影響で最近は全国的に寒い日が続いておりますが、皆様如何お過ごしでございますか？

東京では、朝晩の冷え込みがかなり強くなっておりますが、日中は比較的穏やかな日もございますよね。そんな穏やかな冬晴れの日に、美しい紅葉を求め、当ホテルから短時間でアクセス可能な広尾にございます「有栖川宮記念公園」にお邪魔させていただきました。

有栖川宮記念公園は、東京メトロ日比谷線の広尾駅で下車し、1番出口から約2分の所にございます。公園の入り口から少し進んでまいりますと、かなり紅葉が進んでいるイチョウやモミジが目に飛び込んできました。

公園に入ってすぐのところに池と日本庭園があり、何人かの人がそこの池で釣りを楽しんでいました。池には琴柱灯籠が観えていて、日本庭園の中に、北陸の冬の風物詩の雪吊りがあれば、完璧にに金沢の兼六園に来たのでは?と錯覚したかも知れません。灯籠が逆さに写る池の中では、数羽のカモが寒そうに泳ぎ回っていました。

この公園は麻布台地の変化に富んだ地形を生かして造られているとのことで坂が多く、園内には渓谷や滝もございました。

園内の丘を登ったり降りたりしながら、紅葉を楽しませていただきました。燃えるようなモミジの赤と、黄色いイチョウとのコントラストが素晴らしいです。落葉したイチョウの葉ひきつめられた土の上を、まるで黄色いカーペットの上を歩くように踏みしめながら移動しました。

渓谷から池に向かって水が流れ込んできていて、下流のほうには多数の石造りの橋が架けられていました。

丘陵地の上は子供達が遊べる一般の公園のようになっており、そこにはこの公園との深い縁を持つ「有栖川宮熾仁親王騎馬像」がございました。

有栖川宮記念公園は、もともと有栖川宮威仁親王の御用地だったそうですが、有栖川宮が廃絶したあと、御祭祀をお継ぎなった高松宮殿下が児童福祉を目的とした遊び場に関心をもたれ、昭和9年に東京都に賜与され記念公園として一般に開放されたそうです。

今回この公園を訪れまして、こんな都会の真ん中に、これほど自然豊かな公園があったなんて少し驚いてしまいました。四季を通じて、その季節に応じた自然を満喫できると思いますので、是非「有栖川宮記念公園」に訪れてみては如何ですか?

東急ステイ目黒祐天寺から広尾までのアクセス方法：

東急東横線「祐天寺駅」→「中目黒駅」（約2分）

東京メトロ日比谷線「中目黒駅」→「広尾駅」（約4分）

広尾駅から「有栖川宮記念公園」まで徒歩約2分

"On a Little Journey by Taking Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line ~Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park@Hiro-o"

I took a walk around the Hiro-o area. It is very easy to access Hiro-o from Tokyustay Meguro Yutenji by using the Tokyu Toyoko Line and Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. I visited Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park at Hiro-o to enjoy the natural beauty in this time such as viewing the change of colors of leaves in the park.

There were some ginkgo biloba trees and maple trees in the park and those leaves are already yellow and red. This park was constructed using varied terrains, so, there is a valley and a hill there and a waterfall flows to the pond from the upper part of the hillside.There is a park where children can play at the hillside. I also saw the statue of the Arisugawa Taruhito.

Arisygawa-no-miya Memorial Park was owned by the Arisugawa-no-miya Takehito (Arisugawa-no-miya is one of the shinonoke branches of the Imperial Family of Japan) before the Arisugawa-no-miya was abolished. Takamatsu-no-miya, who continued the festival, was interested in a playground for children. He gave the land to Tokyo in 1945 and opened it as a memorial park.

I was very surprised to know that there is a park filled with natural beauty in the central of Tokyo. Why don't you visit the park to enjoy the natural beauty throughout the year?

Access to Hiro-o Station from Yutenji Station by subway:

Yutenji Station→Nakameguro Station (approximately 2 minutes by Tokyu Toyoko Line)

Nakameguro Station→Hiro-o Station (approximately 4 minutes by Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line)

It is just 2 minutes to the Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park from the Tokyo Metro Hiro-o Station.
