★深川資料館通り沿いでは霊厳寺がございましたので、参拝をさせていただきました★

以前このブログでは、清澄白河にございます深川資料館通り商店街の通り沿いに並べられております「かかしコンクール」に応募されている沢山の案山子たちの話題をお届けいたしましたが、その通り沿いに浄土宗の寺院である霊厳寺がございましたので、早速参拝をさせていただきました。

尚、この寺院の境内には、「松平定信墓」があり、国定史跡に指定されております。陸奥白河藩第3代藩主だった松平定信は、「寛政の改革」を行ったと昔歴史の授業で習ったことを思いだしました。この周辺の地名である「白河」はそこから由来しているそうです。

寺院の境内に入って左手に、大きな銅造地蔵菩薩坐像がございます。延命地蔵が安置されております地蔵菩薩坐像は、都指定有形文化財に指定されており、江戸六地蔵の第5番がこちらに安置されております。右手に杖を、左手に宝珠をもっている地蔵菩薩坐像の穏やかな表情が大変印象的でございました。

霊厳寺は寛永元年 (1624年)、霊厳島 (現在の中央区新川) に創建されましたが、明暦の大火 (1657年) の後に現在の地へ移転されました。この歴史ある寺院、霊厳寺に是非訪れてみては如何ですか？

都営大江戸線「門前仲町駅」→「清澄白河駅」（約3分）

A3出口から深川資料館通り商店街まで清澄通り沿いに徒歩で約2分

通りを左に折れ数分ですぐ左手に霊厳寺がございます。

"Reiganji(Temple)~Kiyosumi Shirakawa"

There is the grave of Sadanobu Matsudaira, the 3^rd generation domain's lord of the Mutsu-Shirakawa and did "Reform in Kansei" in the Reiganji (Temple). I learned it in history class when I was a student. The place name of "Shirakawa" around there is from the Mutsu-Shirakawa.

When I entered the temple, I found a huge guardian deity of children statue made of copper on the left side. It is designated as a capital tangible cultural property and 5^th member of the Edo Rokujizo - six jizo (guardian deity of children statue) in Edo. I felt that the expression of the statue was very gentle.

The temple was originally established in Reigenjima in 1624. However, it was moved to the present place after the Great Fire of Meireki in 1657. Please visit this historic Reigenji Temple if you have time.

Access to Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station from Monzen-nakacho station by subway.

Monzen-nakacho Station→Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station (approximately 3 minutes by Ooedo Line)

It is a 2 minute walk to Fukagawa Shiryoukan Dori Syoutengai from the A3 Exit at Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station.

Go south on Kiyosumi Street and you will find the Fukagawa Shiryoukan Dori Syoutengai on your left side. Make a left at the entrance of the Fukagawa Shiryoukan Dori Syoutengai and walk until you will find the Temple on your left side.
